Aviation Emergency Response Training Specialist

Functional Reporting Relationship: VP, Operations

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Purpose of Position: The Aviation Emergency Response Training Specialist develops and delivers client training programs, provides guidance on civil aviation regulatory standards, and partners with internal and client teams to support customer onboarding.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Review client Emergency Response Procedures, Safety Plans, and provide SWOT analyses of those plans as requested.
  • Travel to new and existing client locations to discuss, assess, and recommend improvements to emergency response capabilities and processes.
  • Support business development through networking, marketing initiatives, trade shows, safety seminars, and related industry events.
  • Collaborate with and support other departments across the organization.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate training events.
  • Facilitate drills and educational exercises.
  • Maintain flexibility and willingness to meet operational demands during peak-volume periods.
  • Remain available during business and non-business hours via company or personal mobile devices, as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, or related discipline.

Skills/Experience:

Required:

  • One or more of the following: Airline Transport Pilot certification, military pilot fixed wing or rotor qualification, or comparable aviation field experience.
  • Five to seven years of flight operations experience.
  • Thorough understanding of FAA, NTSB, and industry standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability and confidence to engage and negotiate at the C-suite level.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.
  • Ability to travel domestically 50% of the time.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience serving as a Safety Officer in an aviation environment.
  • Knowledge of emergency and disaster management principles.
  • Sales experience.
